NEW DESIGN - High current block series HSP869 series for Scratch Contacting.
For the reliable contacting of contaminated areas or critical surfaces like aluminium or nickel. By using inclined contact probes, a slight scrub is realized on the contacted surface. This significantly increases the penetration compared to standard high current probes.
Because of the inclined plungers the contact tips make a lateral movement during the compression of the springs. This scrub allows a more reliable penetration of contaminations or oxide layers of the DUT and at the same time a compensation of unevenness. This creates an increased contact surface and contact force, leading to a higher ampacity of the contact. The contact probe can be used in centres down to 12 mm and allows continuous currents up to 80 A.
A combined working spring force of 18N is achieved by each probe providing a 6.0N working spring force.
