Pogo Connectors - Battery Contacts
View our wide range of short travel probe series here.
Battery contacts are often referred to as pogo connectors or short travel test probes. This is due to their compact design and short travel.
They are particularly suitable as battery or charging contacts in limited spaces. Interfaces for data transmission is also an example of their use. Medical technology, lighting industries and electrical connectors are popular applications for these probes.
Advantages:
- Compact design
- Short travel
- Long mechanical life
- High quality contacting
- Good solderability
- High temperature resistant materials
- Transmission of high currents
- Low contact resistance
- Good signal transmission during vibrations
- Various mounting options and sizes
- Various connection options including solder free
Application Examples:
- Robots
- Docking Stations

- Card readers
- Ultrasound devices
- Audio devices
- Smart watches
- Hearing aids
- Game consoles
- Headphones/Earphones
Solderable Contact Probes
A special probe design allows direct soldering onto PCB's. The probes are often soldered directly onto the boards. Alternatively, contact probes with a pin/tail can be inserted into a hole on the board and then soldered once in place. This ensures the probes remains in position.
Lead-free soldering generates high soldering temperatures. The probes we supply have high temperature resitant materials and they are designed in such a way that no solder can flow into the probe.
